The University Of Surrey Partners With Sustainable Commuter Service Zeelo

The University of Surrey has announced that it will give students and staff in the area a more sustainable route to campus by partnering with Zeelo, the smart commuter service. The service will allow staff and students to travel in executive shuttle buses, helping the University meet sustainability goals.

Launching on 2 March, Zeelo will offer a free trial of the service for the first University of Surrey staff and students to sign up. Riders will then be able to travel from £1.94 per ride and select from a number of travel pass options, with 9 different pickups and 4 service times.

Staff and students opting to travel with Zeelo will be saving themselves the equivalent of 20 wasted working days spent behind the wheel. They will now be able to catch up on emails, relax with a Netflix show, or even catch up on some sleep while travelling. There are environmental benefits for swapping to Zeelo too. The average rider will save 714kg of CO2 each year, that is the equivalent to planting 5 trees.

The first commuter service will operate two routes from Farnborough and Woking to the University of Surrey, with additional routes in the pipeline. All passengers will receive a premium service with a guaranteed seat, two weeks free and flexible ticket options.
