Zeelo’s Approach To The Coronavirus

With the recent outbreak of Coronavirus becoming an increasing concern we wanted to reassure riders that we are taking measures to ensure the prevention of the disease spreading on our services.

We are working closely with our Operator Partners, as well as circulating a policy regarding our stance, with recommendations on how they should appropriately deal with the virus, including:

• Drivers to wipe down the handrails at the beginning and end of each service, in addition to the normal regular cleaning procedures
• Drivers to wash hands for 20 seconds in our Partner Operator premises before and after their shifts
• Operator Partners to provide antibacterial wipes or hand sanitiser onboard all vehicles, we would also advise riders to bring their own where possible
• We will continue to provide our operator partners with the Government’s recommended guidance in both the UK and South Africa

In addition to this, Zeelo will continue to follow Public Health England and National Institute of Communicable Diseases SA advice closely. We will also monitor the risk level assessment and stand ready to make necessary changes to help protect you, your colleagues and our drivers.

We also recommend that if our riders have symptoms of the disease that they follow the British Government’s advice for the public.
