Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps Zeelo Limited (“Zeelo”) has taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains.
Our business and supply chains. Zeelo provides fully managed group transportation — combining technology, operations and vendor management — for employers and schools across the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States. Zeelo Limited is the parent of the group. Our supply chain consists principally of vetted transport operators who provide vehicles and drivers under Zeelo’s management, alongside technology, professional-services and goods suppliers in the UK and overseas.
Risk assessment
Given the regulated, predominantly UK-based nature of our operator supply chain and our professional workforce, Zeelo assesses its overall risk of modern slavery as low, while recognising that risk can arise in sub-contracted labour and overseas supply. We keep this assessment under review.
Policies
Zeelo maintains a Modern Slavery Policy applying to everyone working for or on behalf of Zeelo — employees, directors, drivers, agency and casual workers, volunteers, contractors and suppliers — with a zero-tolerance approach to slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking.
Due diligence
Our recruitment and people-management processes verify the legal right to work in the UK and safeguard staff from abuse or coercion. We conduct due diligence on operators and suppliers, including requesting their own modern slavery policies, and our procurement processes and contract terms reference modern slavery. Zeelo does not knowingly do business with any organisation involved in modern slavery and reserves the right to terminate relationships with any operator or supplier found in breach.
Training
Zeelo provides awareness training to staff on the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the action to take if slavery or trafficking is suspected
